I wasn't born in Tuscany. I grew up in Campania, in the south of Italy, and one day I fell in love with the Maremma: its wild hills, its silence, its light. I didn't just move here. I chose it.
So I know exactly what you're feeling when you look at a stone farmhouse online and start to imagine a different life.
Local knowledge, from the inside
I've worked in the local property market as a real estate consultant, alongside both buyers and sellers. That's where I learnt what a listing doesn't tell you, how prices are really set, which documents can hide a problem and how long Italian bureaucracy really takes.
And yet, even with all that experience, it took me more than five years to find my own home. So I know how long, tiring and full of false starts the search can be, especially from far away.
Today I put all of that to work for you.
I'm doing it too
I'm restoring my own home, Podere Nenni, an old farmhouse near Montemassi, in the heart of the Maremma. Builders, permits, heat pump, budgets that change, deadlines that slip: I'm living it first-hand.
When I tell you what a renovation will cost, or which builder to trust, it isn't theory.
A photographer's eye
I'm a photographer by training. I know how a good photo can make a house look better than it is, and I use that eye the other way round: to show you every home as it really is, flaws included.
